The Training Plan

It seems a bit silly to post workouts here, but one of the most common questions I'm asked is "what do you do to train?" So here are the details, week by week.

Week 1...This week is all about rest, lots of stretching and walking or mellow hikes. But here's what I've been doing up until now.
BOOT CAMP: 2 four week sessions with Daniel Iverson pushing a group of women to run faster and jump higher. Feeling up for a challenge try this jump rope 300 times in a row, then do 20 burpees, followed by 15 v-ups. Repeat 2 more times.
Stairs: At least once a week I head to the stairs, 356 of them at Mt. Tabor Park, or 500 of them in NW Portland.
Trails: The hilly Marquam trail or the loop from my house to the River. At least 2x per week.
Abs: Variations on the theme of a situp, 100 a day
Physical Therapy: 20 minutes 2x a day my neck and shoulders get to have oodles of fun.
Hiking : My favorite part of training, the weekend hike with two and four-legged friends.
